>> Based on the FIR lodged with Mico Layout Police Station by Ms. Sonam Mahajan about the Medical negligence by the Dentists working in M/s Sabka Dentist an enquiry was conducted by the Expert committee and came to the conclusion that there was negligence on the part of Dr. Akanksha Ranapatia, Dr. Sneha Gupta & Dr. Anatao Zita Vasco in treating the patient due to which she lost her pre molar tooth.

The Enquiry Committee took a unanimous decision to suspend the above mentioned Doctors from practicing for a period of six months as they were found guilty of committing professional negligence. The same was informed to Maharashtra State Dental council & Himachal Pradesh Dental Council as Dr. Anatao Zita Vasco & Dr. Akanksha Ranapatia registered their names accordingly in those Dental Councils.

The Sabka Dentist has been cautioned in the earlier counts regarding the complaints received by KSDC on its involvement in unethical practices. Public are cautioned about the same.

The above order was kept in abeyance as per the stay order dated 17-01-2018 by the judicial authority.

"The Appeal filed by the three Dentists under Appeal Nos. 17/2018, 18/2018 & 19/2018 before the appellate authority & Additional Chief Secretary to Government of Karnataka, Medical Education Department, Bangalore was dismissed and the order of the KSDC removing the names of the Appellants shall come into effect for a period of six months with effect from 7th May, 2018.

Frequently asked questions.
1. Who can Register with K.S.D.C.?
Any person who has completed his/her BDS/MDS/DENTAL MECHANIC/HYGIENIST can register their name with us. As per Dentist Act it is mandatory.

2. Within how many months we have to register after getting my result?
You have to register within six months from the date of the result. If, due to some un-avoidable reasons you cannot register with us then you have to produce an Affidavit stating the reason for the same which should be attested by a Notary.

3. What are all the documents i have to produce at the time of Registration?
All the documents specified in the Application form along with a photograph and a Demand Draft favoring "Karnataka State Dental Council payable at Bangalore". Application is available under Downloads section.

4. Should I come personally for registration or can i depute some authorized person?
As we have implemented the Bio-metric system, the presence of the candidate is must for the first time.

5. Whether I have to renew it annually? If so, how i can renew?
Yes. You have to renew annually. You can do the same online or by sending a Demand Draft before 31st December of the previous year. You can study the Demo for online renewal in the home page.

6. If I have not renewed for a certain period, is it possible to restore it?
Yes. You can restore it by paying the restoration charges.

7. How I can get the NOC?
By surrendering the Original KSDC Registration Certificate alongwith a request letter specifying to which State you require NOC, personally or through authorized representative. You have to pay Rs 1000/- through Demand Draft, if you have renewed up-to-date.

8. How I can get the Good Standing Certificate?
You can get the Good Standing Certificate online itself by remitting the required amount. If you require any hard copy then you have to visit out office or can depute an authorized person to collect the same.

9. If I am a Foreigner, can I get a Good Standing Certificate?
As Per DCI Act no person other than Citizen of India shall not be entitled for registration by virtue of a qualification. Hence we cannot register a Foreigner and without registration Good standing certificate cannot be issued.

10. Can I Practice anywhere in India by Registering with K.S.D.C.?
Yes. As per Section 46(5) of DCI Act you can practice anywhere in India by registering with Karnataka State dental Council.

11. How Can i get duplicate certificate if the original certificate lost?
By lodging complaint with concerned police authorities, the original FIR along with an affidavit attested by the notary should be produced for Duplicate Registration Certificate. It will be issued on payment of prescribed charges.
